The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has said the All Progressives Congress (APC) is not a party of saints but remains a better alternative to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Keyamo made the clarification in a post on his verified X (formerly Twitter) account on Saturday, referencing an interview he granted to a blog in 2017.<\/p>\n

According to him, a portion of his remarks was edited out, leading to misinterpretation of his comments.<\/p>\n

He stated that while it would be unrealistic to describe any political party as made up entirely of saints, he believes the APC still offers greater prospects for Nigeria than the PDP, which previously governed the country.<\/p>\n

\u201cI will be a fool to say APC is a party of saints,\u201d he wrote, adding that anyone who claims their political party is made up of saints would also be mistaken.<\/p>\n

On balance, he argued, the APC represents the best hope for the country and cautioned against a return to what he described as the era of PDP leadership.<\/p>\n

Keyamo also noted that President Bola Tinubu, whom he referred to as Asiwaju, did not join the PDP during its time in power, describing that decision as significant in the current political landscape.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
