President Bola Tinubu has expressed condolences to traders and residents of Kano State following a destructive fire at the Singa Market over the weekend.
The fire, which began on Saturday evening and extended into Sunday morning, caused significant damage to the food market.
Alarmingly, this incident occurred less than two weeks after a previous blaze destroyed dozens of shops and property at the same market.
Presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga stated that Tinubu, after consulting Kano State governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, directed a comprehensive investigation into the recurring market fires, highlighting the need to protect traders and prevent future tragedies.
