A Nigerian man has reported an alleged case of theft after a young woman identified as Precious Chinyere reportedly absconded with his car and other valuables following a brief hotel stay in the Asokoro area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The incident allegedly occurred on Thursday when the man and the woman checked into a hotel for what was described as a short-time stay. According to the victim, he later discovered that the woman had quietly left the hotel room without his knowledge.
It was gathered that the suspect allegedly made away with several personal belongings, including the man’s mobile phones, laptop, and his car.
Following the discovery, the man reportedly alerted the hotel management before lodging a formal complaint with the police.
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the FCT Police Command, SP Josephine Adeh, said the matter has been reported and is currently under investigation.
She added that efforts are ongoing to trace and apprehend the suspect, noting that further updates would be provided as investigations progress.
